Car Trouble

When your world is going smoothly, it’s easy to be happy and mellow. When your world has trouble, it’s hard to stay calm sometimes. For me, that used to be the case. I am learning about diversions and troubles and trying to let God handle it all. It’s not always easy but I am learning.

A perfect wave…

Yesterday my car started the day perfectly fine. Good thing too because it was raining profusely. All went well for the first stop. Then the battery light came on and went off and came on again. But made it to school so that was good. At the end of my long day I drove my car home and all the gauges were normal. Nothing was wrong.

Beautiful…

Time to go to school today. Walk to the car. Door locks not working from key fob. That’s the first thing to tell you the battery is dead. I opened the door the old-fashioned way. I put the key in the lock and turned it. I knew what would happen though. I climbed into my car and put the key in the ignition and turned it. Nothing happened. No lights, no sounds. Only silence. Now my flurry of activity began in earnest.

Wow!

I had made an appointment to have the car fixed today. Obviously I wasn’t going to make that on time. And then there is school to coordinate. God had worked all this out before I needed it. My classroom aid was going to be there early today. She is there now as I write this and school has started but God is taking care of everything.

It’s under His control…

So I thank God and I thank the great staff at school. And as of yet I don’t know the end of the story. I know the help from AAA is en route but that’s all I know. My car will get repaired and I will be on the road again by the end of the day. I just praise God He loves me and takes care of me. He had taken care of all the details.

What a sky!

That’s the way God is. The more we trust Him, the more we see His hand at work in our lives. The more we can trust His judgment and help for us when things don’t always go according to your plans. So thank God for a beautiful day and be prepared ro trust Him when your day takes a detour.

Last look…
