I was watching a reality baking show when a contestant hid his picture behind a mirror which had to be broken to see his picture. It was all made out of edible materials. But it got me to thinking. Sometimes we hide our true selves. We only let people see what we want.

There was also an old game show where 3 contestants tried to fool a panel of guessers. One real person and 2 fakes. And in the end the real person would stand up.

Maybe it’s time you and I let our real person stand up. Would we like what we would see? Can we change if we don’t?

There’s the home you and the work you. And sometimes  the school you. They aren’t always the same character. They aren’t always feeling the same or doing things the same. It’s time that all changes.

There was one who was always truly Himself. He was always human and always God too. Jesus came here and lived as we should. No matter the situation and no matter the circumstances Jesus was always truly Himself.  Even to death on the cross for us, Jesus was true to God and true to Himself. Maybe everyone knew that was the real Jesus and that’s why they came to Him. And that’s  why we still come to Him.

When we come to Jesus and follow Him, He is able to make us be our true self all the time. Let Jesus live in your heart and let Him change you into your true self. Follow Him with all your heart and all your mind and all your soul. He will lead you to righteousness and truth. He will lead you to be the best you. Ask Jesus to come into your heart now and start your journey with Him.
