We always look forward to the special things, the things that make the mundane look, well, less mundane. Somehow the changing of our normal routine energizes us. Or maybe reenergizes us.
As I sit and write on this last day of my vacation, I find getting back to be a good thing. And maybe part of it is in the knowing that if I never went back, things would change here too. Somehow, you always have to earn an income and there goes the doing-whatever-you-want days down the tubes.
Life is still good though. I think of all the things I have seen, all the things I heard. The white tailed kite, the ocean breakers, the lighthouse. The roar of the ocean, the call of the gulls, the wind blowing in over the ocean.
Then there are the things I experienced. The power of the waves, the time in nature, getting closer to God.
Someday soon there will be a home-coming of epic proportions. Just as I have to get back to my normal life, when Jesus comes those who know Him can go home with Him. It’s an experience like no other and one not to be missed! Make your choice now to be there. I know I have.
So looking forward to that home coming!
