Did you listen when your dad told you things? Did you listen when you were getting in trouble for something you did? I bet some of that time you heard the message. Sometimes you were ready to listen and take to heart what was said.

What if there was Someone even more influencial in your life that was sending you a message? Would you listen to that one? Are you sure?

There is a message sent to every one of us including you. It’s called the Bible. It’s God’s letters to us. It’s His promises to us and for us. If you believe in God’s book and his messages to you and to us all, do you hear? Are you listening? Is your heart ready to accept the message God has sent to you?

If you don’t believe in the Bible, why not? That’s a whole other blog too. But if you believe in God, then believe in the message He sent.

And maybe you’ve been like me lately. You know God. You think you do. You spend time in prayer but it was really a one way conversation. You never listened to what God had to say to you. Yes, He still speaks to us today. And He speaks to you. I was invited to a friend’s house tonight for his birthday. His church music group was there. They played and sang some songs. God used one of those songs to talk to me.

Basically, it’s so simple. Maybe someone should make it a flow chart. Do you believe in God and the Bible? If yes, then do you read His letter to you? If you don’t read God’s message to you, why not? What could be more important than listening to God? Is there really anything that important?

We make decisions on how to use our time. We make decisions on what we do. What’s more important to you? The newest TikTok video or hearing God talk to you? Yes, it’s easier to pick up your phone and start watching. It’s mind numbing even. Nothing wrong with a little fun either. But priorities need to be properly set. Who ranks first in your life? A person is truly measured by their actions.
